28th September 2015 - A
update on a number of fronts. First the August Working party report, or
rather more like 'notes'! Some notes from the Superpower weekend and
finally the September Working Party report. All these are together (and
in the usual reverse order!) on the Working
Party Reports page. Finally a couple of items in the News
section regarding re-wheeling and the locos cab plates. Apologies to
our readers for the lateness of all this, it meaning that the
'news' is really no longer in that category, but nevertheless it helps
to keep the record of progress up to date.
26th January 2015 - Added
party dates for the rest of the year. Also news
of the arrival of our newly manufactured springs.
20th January 2015 - The
party saw 12 volunteers attend the weekend with some of the team ending
up working on K1 or the NGG16 operational fleet. A report, as usual, is
on the working party reports page and
pictures in the Gallery.
9th December 2014 -
Finally an update...
It's with apologies that it's been three months since the last
not that there's been nothing happening on the loco, just that more has
happening to the webmaster here. Updates had been getting very
difficult due to a rapidly deteriorating cataract. However after its
removal three weeks ago normal service is once again possible. So
what's in this update.....? Well for a start there are the working
party dates for the first three month's of 2015. On the working
party reports page
there are two updates. One is a summary of the October and November
working parties and the second a fuller report of the
working party last weekend. Finally there are photos from the
November and December working parties in the Gallery.

date for the December working party.
September 2014 - a rather belated report
and photos following the September
14th July 2014 - added
some pictures of
the work on the tender bogies and some from Clive Briscoe of the
recently tidied running plate on the loco frames. Both added to the 2nd
June working party section for convenience. Also added an
update from Clive regarding the tidying work - -added to the working
party reports page.
3rd April 2014 - A fairly
major revamp. Due to increasingly time
problems with the BluPlusPlus skin and the latest JAlbum software used
for the Gallery it's now converted to the Matrix skin. The Gallery
therefore has a different look to it, although the sections are the
same. This has resulted in the need for changing many links in the
site. The pages have had a slight tweak in the there looks where photos
are concerned. Various other outdated/non-working links have been
updated. The Post Service page has been updated to reflect our current
understanding of the whereabouts of all the NG15s (If you know anything
different then please let us know). And finally, generally a revamp and
updating (change of tense) to various sections of text. NOTE: if you're
a regular visitor and it's gone in a bit of a muddle you may need to
hit reload in case the pages are cached.
22nd October 2013 -

15th October 2013 -
Updated page and added some photographs of
the rear drag box fitted into the frames
and a couple of the frames supported on the corner posts in the loco frames move section - both in

3rd October 2013 - Four
more pictures added to the Gallery in the tender bogies section courtesy of
Jon Whalley at Boston Lodge. These show the welding assembly for the
new brake rigging.

Quite a bit has
been happening with the NG15 and so there are a few updates. First a
belated report from the working party weekend of the 14th &
September in the Reports
page. Also on this page is mention of work being carried out at Boston
Lodge on the tender bogies. Finally, and this is a major event for us,
the loco frames have been moved from the clip shed where we'd been
working thee last few years to the main loco running shed. Details in
News page. Plenty of pictures of the latter in the Galley, with thanks to Tony Williams
and Ben Abbott.
24th August 2013 - There
are now some rather elegant badges and a key ring fob available in the
fundraising Merchandise section. Please buy one
(or more). A quick update from (the rather quiet) the August working

weekday evening working party and so as the pictures represent the

report for the April working party. This contains quite a
big update about the plans for this year together with details and photos of the new loco dragbox under
construction at Brunswick Ironworks.
