The main job for the weekend was again working on fitting the new chequer plate. We finished off the drilling, tapping and countersinking of the front left hand side section.

The front running plate that had been previously rolled for us was cut to width last month and this month we cut out the access hatch for the front coupling and started to drill, tap and countersink it into place.

The various splitters needed for our lubrication scheme had arrived since last time so we were able to finish of the lubrication pipework for the front Krauss-Helmholtz truck.

We just had time before finishing on the Sunday to start the lubrication pipework for the slide-bars. The two bolts will attach the two-way splitter needed here.
