One job for the weekend was to remove the footplate frame extension so as we could drill the holes required to fit the remaining securing bolts. We also took the opportunity to tackle a few other minor jobs on the extension fabrication at the same time.

Work continued in fitting the remaining smokebox securing bolts to the boiler and getting the smokebox door baffle plate ready for welding into place.

We were missing some of the firebox crinoline securing studs so these were welded into place as can be seen by the three across the bottom.

We continued with replacing the boiler's Diaphragm Plate as this needed fitted bolts adding. This is ready to be welded into place at the next working party.

The loco was moved over the pit so as we could continue fitting the brake blocks and associated rigging.
