One job done prior to the main working party was to prime the steam oil lubrication system. Here we're checking that the oil has arrived through the pipework from the lubricator on the other side of the loco.

There are still two pieces of running plate to be added in front of the cab. This is a piece of chequer plate being checked for use on driver's side.

An arrangement is being fitted whereby the tender tank covers can be operated from inside the cab, that together with the water columns being operated from ground level will prevent the need to get on top of the tender.
